ciao tutti. i haven’t had much time to write because I’ve been busy getting acclimated to my new home. here’s a quick update:
- I’ve made lots of friends and everyone in my SYA group is really nice
- I’m learning more and more Italian daily because of how much I’m hearing, reading, and attempting to speak
- italy is beautiful
- I’ve met viterbese kids my age and they have all been nice
- the food is AMAZING
- I love my host family, they have been so welcoming and are trying very hard to make me feel like a part of the family
- I’m really ready for school to start because I’m eager to get into a routine, and also to start officially studying Italian
- tonight is la macchina di Santa Rosa and I am so excited to partake in this great tradition
